The Story Behind the Album
In late 2010, Ben Le Jeune, founder member and torch bearer of The Creature Comfort, returned to Manchester after a number of years in Europe, re-energised for a return to the music scene.
He hooked up with musician / producer Peter Glennie who helped steer him through the process of selecting the songs to be recorded from the band's extensive back catalogue, the idea being to showcase the breadth of their musical style down the years.
In summer 2011 Le Jeune and Glennie went to Blueprint Studios in Salford to record the chosen songs with a backing band formed from some of the best session musicians in the region, and with the studio recording and mixing managed by Fred Kindt.
The result is The Creature Comfort's long awaited debut album, released in 2013 via Critter Communication / AWAL.
